Rotation.org Note: Some Rotation Model churches have their kids keep journals of some sort. These can be used before or after a lesson and can relate specifically to the lesson and/or include other content being worked on by the Sunday School.
Trinity Nazarene in Oklahoma City has contributed a number of Rotation lesson sets and pictures to rotation.org. The following is an introduction from Trinity's Steve Klusmeyer about how they use their journals in rotation. We'd like to add more comments about journal use on this page. Email Neil MacQueen your info about journals.
From
Trinity Church:
The Student's Prayer Journal is used during the reflection
time to review the lesson, study the memory verses, and discuss
how each workshop ties together with the others in the rotation.
It also helps the shepherd and the students to develop a closer
relationship through sharing God's Word and Prayer concerns.
Each class has a box in which to keep their journals and other supplies. The boxes are stored in the resource room during the week and taken to the appropriate workshop each Sunday.
Completed journals are kept at the church and saved each year as the students promote to the next grade. A special binder containing the completed journals is presented to each student when they promote to the pre-teen department.
