Help with Member Registrations, Renewals, Cancellations

Supporting Member RENEWALS arrive about a week before your annual membership expires. Please continue your support!

If you are having trouble with completing the Membership Process, or believe you are already a Supporting Member but are having trouble with access, please read our TECH FORUM in the Exchange (http://rotation.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/cfrm/f/927106134).

If your question is not answered there, post a question in that forum.

If you selected "automatic renewal" when you originally signed up, the LiveCloud/SitePay service will charge your cc on file and notify you. For help renewing, go to Supporting Member Help Forum in the Exchange

Why the change?
In the past, Rotation.org was supported by free-will donations in response to our annual emailed fundraising letter. But as we've grown, and as expenses have gone up, that passive donation model simply hasn't kept up with the site's growth, its cost, and the vision.

In February of 2010, we emailed every registered member of the Exchange asking them to voice their opinion in an online forum or by email. The OVERWHELMING majority of replies supported the idea of turning on the Contributing Member feature. In fact, it became an out-pouring of support and words of appreciation! And many people told us that enabling the online membership feature would make it easier for them to do what they had always intended to do... support the site.

MOST of the free lesson content on our Exchange message board continues to be fully accessible to unregistered visitors and guest.  But some of our finest resources and personalized help are only available to people who understand the importance of being part of this community in a special way.

Technical Notes:

Supporting Members will first need to become "Registered Members" if they are not already. If you have a screenname and log-in for Rotation.org, then you are already a Registered Member.

If you are not a Supporting Member and try to access a "Supporting Members Only" feature or webpage, you will be prompted to sign up to become a Supporting Member. You can click Cancel.

When you access the SitePay screen to become a Supporting Member, odds are you have never used SitePay before and will need to create a username and password just for that process. You can use it again the following year when you renew your Rotation.org Supporting Membership.

If you have problems with signing up or becoming a Supporting Member, or accessing the Supporting Member content... go to our Support Forum  http://rotation.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/cfrm/f/927106134

Rotation.org Membership Info

After much discussion within our community, on May of 2010 the Rotation.org Board took the NEXT STEP in its evolution and turned on the MEMBERSHIP feature in the Ideas and Lesson Exchange message board. These changes do not affect the "Main" part of rotation.org. They only affect access to certain content and features in the Exchange message board.

MOST of the lessons & content in the Lesson Exchange remain freely available to all.

There are 3 levels of access to the Rotation Exchange message boards and lessons:

1. Guests:  Guests are anonymous/unregistered visitors with access to most of the lessons, but with limited access to certain features in the Exchange. Guests cannot access the Writing Team's lesson sets, cannot use the Search feature, and cannot create/reply content. Guests are not required to register. Guests can become a Registered Member for FREE by completing the Exchange registration screen at http://rotation.infopop.cc/eve/login, and confirming your email address. Then you're a Registered Member! ...and can become a Supporting Member. (see details below).  This is Free.

2. Registered Members: Registered Members create feely a username and password to log-in to the Exchange and gain general access to most forums and lesson content, including posting/reply privileges, and access to the search features. However, some features and content will not accessible unless you elect to become a Supporting Member.

If you have a working username and password, then you are already a Registered Member.

3. Supporting Members: This category of membership costs $25 a year and gives you COMPLETE access to all content and features, including the Search Feature, as well as, access to certain forums such as the HELP forums, and access to ALL the Writing Team lesson sets (see full list Supporting Member benefits on left).

You can choose a one year membership, and you can also choose to have that one year membership automatically renew.

Supporting Members use the SitePay/LiveCloud membership forms and secure transaction process to pay their membership fee. This fee then gets remitted to Rotation.org Inc.

The cost of becoming a Supporting Member is $25 --payable with your creditcard when you sign up.
(There is also a $2 "Sitepay" transaction fee which does not go to rotation.org.)

If you are already a Registered Member,
you will need to log-in and then complete the Supporting Member process.

If you are a "guest" ...having never registered before,
you'll need to become a Registered Member, then log-in, then complete the Supporting Member process.

Don't worry...the website forms will lead you through the process!

Notes about the Sign-up Procedure to become a Supporting Member

The Exchange software and sign-up process is managed by a Social Strata Inc, and it's LiveCloud/SitePay service. We've been working with them for over a decade to bring you the Exchange message board. Their membership process and creditcard handling is completely secure. Rotation.org does not receive any financial information about you or your card.

Social Strata uses the "LiveCloud/SitePay" transaction process to collect funds and secure your membership. There is a $2 transaction fee paid to LiveCloud/Sitepay for each membership. If you do not want to automatically renew your membership each year, be sure to check that option when signing up for your LiveCloud/Sitepay account.

Please remember to write down your SitePay/LiveCloud username and password (the one you create). Rotation.org cannot access that information.

Rotation.org's accounting is handled by volunteers, thus we have a strong preference for folks to use their creditcard to become a Supporting Member. You can send a check but this should be the method of last resort. Email the Rotation.org Treasurer for details.

Below is a HELPFUL GRAPHIC explaining the LiveCloud/SitePay steps used to complete your Supporting Member transaction.

Walking you through it....  If this is your first time registering as a Supporting Member, then when you first get to the LiveCloud/SitePayments screen  you will want to click "NO" and then "Submit".

Now a second similar looking screen will appear. Your email address should be listed as your username. This is the email address you used to initially become a 'registered member' at Rotation.org. If your email address has changed, see this note.  Create a password, click submit, then check your email for the confirmation link. Click that link in your email and you can complete the Supporting Member payment screen. We agree that it can be confusing, but that's because it's trying to be very secure. Please remember to WRITE DOWN your username/password for renewals.

More Sign-up Details:

When you sign up to become a Supporting Member, the Groupee/Rotation.org board software will alert you when your annual membership is about to expire.

IF LiveCloud/SitePay screen shows the wrong email address, read this:
LiveCloud/SitePay screen automatically pulls the email address you used to first register with Rotation.org (prior to becoming a Supporting Member). It puts that email address in as the 'username' for LiveCloud/SitePay. If that email address has changed, then you need to go into your Registered Member Profile and change the email address there, then come back to the LiveCloud/SitePay screen. To access your profile and change your email contact, go to http://rotation.infopop.cc/eve/personal and select "Profile" and check the "change email" box.

Supporting Members will receive a special "member" icon next to their screenname when they post.

You may choose to create one sign-in/membership for your congregation's volunteers.

If you are already a Registered Member...
you will need to log-in and then complete the Supporting Member process.

If you are a "guest" ...having never registered before...
you'll need to become a Registered Member, then log-in, then complete the Supporting Member process.

And once again....the vast majority of rotation lessons and articles will continue to be freely available to all who visit our website. The "Main" part of Rotation.org will continue to be 100% free. (To see the difference between the two sites...see the graphic below)
