Our finished yule log — the cooking activity to accompany Cornerstone’s free lesson set on The Jesse Tree — it tasted as good as it looked! (Cornerstones' Jesse lesson is linked at rotation.org/links.htm)

Abraham and Sarah rotation – we created cookie maps. Teacher prepared a blank cookie and the kids added colored icing (note the “Red” Sea) and a variety of sprinkles to denote Abe and Sarah’s journeys. Mini-marshmallows indicated altars Abraham built.

Making Herbal Son Cream — a science/cooking project for our Raising Lazarus rotation. This correlated with our study on Jewish burial customs — the anointing of the bodies with lotions and ointments and spices.

Labeling the jars for our Herbal Son cream.

Paul and Silas’s “Jailhouse Rocks,” a science project that went along with our rotation on Paul’s Journeys last summer. The crystals were formed using ammonia, bluing, salt and charcoal. The lesson showed how God can take even hard times and turn them into something beautiful. Memory verse was Romans 8:28: All things work together for good...
