New from the Rotation.org Writing Team

Exodus: Through Water and Wilderness
Red Sea, Bitter Water, Manna, Water from Rock

Formerly known as "Moses: Sea & Sand," the Team rewrote this set to bring the four "sea and sand" episodes together into one story about God's forbearance and faithfulness even as we fear, doubt and complain along the journey. The set includes a much-updated and more detailed description of the popular "Marching through the Wilderness" lesson posted many years ago at our site.

The Writing Team's "Water and Wilderness" Lesson Summaries and Bible Background are open to all. However, only Supporting Members can access the Team's lesson plans.

See the complete Writing Team Lesson Set Menu.

Coming Mid-July: The Beatitudes, ...a revised and expanded lesson set.
Coming Mid-August: The Birth of Jesus through Joseph's Eyes.

If you have a set/story you'd like to see improved in time for you to use it this September, email webmaster.rotation@gmail.com. See the Writing Team Menu for those we've already improved!

"All Shapes and Sizes"

Every month we have thousands of traditional Sunday Schools mining our Rotation resources for great lessons and ideas, and many of them are Supporting Members. Some are volunteer teachers and church educators, but a fair number of them are pastors, and a large proportion of our members hail from SMALL churches. Here is an excerpt from a recent conversation with Supporting Member "St James Santee," also known as, Jennie, the Vicar at St. James Episcopal, in McClellandville, SC.

stjamessanteeSt James Episcopal is one of the oldest congregations in the U.S. In January 1687, a group of French Protestant (Huguenot) immigrants ventured up the Santee River and found a 30 foot high limestone bluff where they sheltered beneath a sail until they could construct a more substantial building. They called their settlement Jamestown and were soon joined by other French refuges fleeing persecution in their native land. The area became known as "French Santee."

Today, our 429 year old church of about 50 people still holds classes for up to 12 children each Sunday. I regularly direct our team teachers to Rotation.org, and I routinely glean lesson ideas to use in my other position as a teacher in a church school in Charleston.  ~Jennie, http://www.stjamessantee.org/

Rotation.org is blessed by so many great contributors, teachers and churches like St James.  If you have a story to share, or are in need of help with your story, contact us!
