Rotation.org's Thankful Enews, 2016

We're thankful for Newly Posted Lessons & Ideas

We are Thankful for our Terrific Advent Forums

We're Thankful for our "Responsive" Website's 1st Birthday!

12 months ago we re-launched our site with all new "responsive" code. "Responsive" means site features and content fully adapt to whatever device you are using, cellphone, tablet, or desktop. We are always grateful to hear how we can make the site better.

BTW: Are you viewing our site on an OLDER computer screen?
Older computers with low resolution monitors (only 1024 or 800 pixels wide), don't see the fancy blue navigational menu (pictured below). Instead, they see the compact "menu" (seen right) -which is designed for tablet/cellphone screens.

We're thankful to our Supporting Members for the new Writing Team Lesson Set!

The Temptation of Jesus in the Wilderness set features 7 new workshops, including:

  • An "It is Written" Cooking workshop that creatively writes with food!
  • A special "wilderness illustrations" resource for use in the Computer workshop or "Illustrating" workshop.
  • And a "Science" workshop in which students learn how to do a magic trick with balloons to illustrate key concepts about resisting temptation.

Everyone can read this set's Lesson Overview and Background. As usual, the lesson plans are themselves only available to our Supporting Members.

We're also thankful to those who voted to set the order of our Writing Team Lesson Set Revision Schedule for 2017

Here are the estimated "finished by" dates of the remaining WT lesson sets. We expect they'll post very early in each month as listed. In addition to the number of votes each remaining WT story received, the schedule also reflects the need to get a story posted before the time of year when it is usually taught.

Estimated "Finished By" Dates:

  • December 2016:  Jesus and Peter Walk on Water
  • January 2017: The Last Supper
  • February: Jesus and Peter after the resurrection. Do You Love Me? Feed my sheep.
  • March: Kingdom Parables (mustard seed, leaven, etc)
  • April: Deborah
  • May: Psalm 8, when I look to the heavens...what are human beings....
  • June: Jesus heals ten. One returns thankful.
  • July: Elijah and the Widow
  • August: Elijah gives his mantle on young Elisha
  • September: Nicodemus at Night
  • October: Garden of Gethsemane
  • November: Road to Emmaus
  • December:  The Great Commission & Ascension of Jesus
  • January 2018: Jesus appears to Mary in the Garden
  • February 2018: Jesus raises Lazarus

February 2018 (or sooner) will bring to a close our Writing Team Renovation Project, after which, the team will start writing new sets on stories we haven't covered yet. Stay tuned!

See a menu of all the WT sets, including all the awesomely revised sets.

As your Board of Directors, we spend a lot of time ASKING you for things... your support, your posts, etc.

So let us take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to YOU.

Rotation.org is the result of thousands of volunteers sharing their time, their great lesson ideas, and their money over the past 19 years. We're grateful for this unique opportunity to share our love of teaching God's Word to kids.

Blessings to you and your ministry...
