Rotation Job Descriptions and Teacher Talents

Many Rotation leaders have reported that "job descriptions" and clearly defined roles and tasks have helped with recruitment and sharing the load.

Not delegating, and lack of roles undercuts the quality of the program, and eventually can sink it.

This first post has some sample Rotation Job Descriptions to consider (as submitted by others over the years here at rotation.org).  Scroll down and see another list of "talents and gifts" to look for in certain teachers, and for certain workshops.

Ministry Position Descriptions - Recruiting Aid

Posted by Amy Crane

Our church has been doing Spiritual Gift inventory questionnaires as one way to help recruit people into various posititions. As part of the workshop, the committee wanted all job requests/descriptions in the same format that includes Spiritual Gifts. These are the ones I wrote for WORM for River Community Church in Prairieville, LA.

(FYI -- not a lot of people had a chance to attend the Spiritual Gift workshops, so I don't think many of our positions were filled that way -- most of it was by old fashioned, "I think you would be perfect for this..." But writing the position descriptions in this format really helped us to think about what was required and involved in each position.)

Your church might be small and not need all these positions, but the GIFTS will all be needed!
