Children's Sermons, Children in Worship, Connecting Lessons to Worship

NOTE:
This topic originally started as a question about connecting the children's sermon to the Sunday School lesson. It has since expanded into some conversation about children in worship and children's sermons.

This post also has copies of Neil MacQueen's Guides to Better Children's Sermons. For more posts about children's sermons go to More Children's Ministry and Sunday School Topics for Leaders here at Rotation.org.

Hi Rotation.org friends,

Our pastors are asking for guidance about "what stories to teach in the children's sermons" now that our Sunday School focuses on the same story for several weeks in a row. In the past, their children's sermons matched the adult sermon and Sunday School lessons all of which followed the lectionary.

Thanks for your responses and ideas,
Sara
