Re: Children in Worship

Children belong in worship, need to know how to worship and practice it, and need the benefits of worship, otherwise, why are we teaching them the Bible?

Separate and more "entertaining" children's worship creates an expectation of worship that will backfire once children grow older and have to attend "adult" worship. They will find it so different and boring that they just want to leave it. How do I know? Look at the last 30 years of statistics.

Instead, "adult" worship needs to become "everyone's" worship, instead of just for the sake of older people's comfort level or "tradition." Jesus wouldn't recognize our traditional styles of worship. There's nothing inherently sacred about "style" or order.

Was not the Sabbath made for man, and not the other way around?
