Ideas for turning a student into a puppet, "Bible" Puppet

Students can dress like a puppet. Sometimes a little bit of costuming and anonymity does wonders for getting kids to participate and get into character!

We took the the large cardboard box that our popcorn popper came in and cut arm holes and a head hole in it. We glued black felt on three sides, and glued white paper on the remaining sides or edges. We glued white letters, "The Bible" on the front and back "covers."

The student who wears this Bible box/puppet has his arms and head sticking out, as well as his legs, of course. He introduces the Bible-related puppet show, telling the audience where in the Bible the story comes from, the setting, characters and so forth.

Sometimes the Bible character has to try and explain what's going on. or kids can "ask the Bible."
