Here are some suggested follow up questions:  (provided by Neil MacQueen)

  • Name some types of parties.  (Birthday, wedding, St Patricks Day, etc.)
  • What is a "party"?  Define it.
  • What do you need for a party?
  • How do you decide who is invited?  Are there people you don't want to invite? Why?
  • What could ruin a party?
  • Is it possible to live your life like your life is one big party?  How could you do that?
  • How is our church like a party?  Not like a party?
  • In John 2, right at the beginning of his ministry, Jesus went to a party and performed a SIGN, a miracle that said, "God's Party is On!"
  • What is God's Party?  (We're working on the Wedding/Banquet Feast image here described by the prophets and by Jesus).
  • Who is invited to God's Party?
  • Where does it take place?
  • What does God want you to "clothe yourself" with at his party?
  • What does God want you to BRING to his party?
  • How should people act at God's Party?
  • How should you invite others to God's Party?

Write and invitation to God's party on stock card paper.

  • Describe the time, place, what to wear/bring, and HOW a person "RSVP'S" to God's Party.

Closing:

End with a prayer.
