Here's a fun way to get kids singing to each other
Our Writing Team came up with a super-playful way to get kids singing without being so self-conscious that utilizes "social distancing" of-a-sort as its gimmick.
Supporting Members of Rotation.org can see the complete lesson that features this playful "singing in the shower" technique. It is part of their Jesus Feeds the 5000 lesson set.
The technique essentially creates a "singing space" -- shower or studio, or stage (whatever) in which different students are video recorded as they sing (from a songsheet or flipchart.
But here's the fun twist: the videocamera/cellphone is connect to a TV screen on the other side of the studio or shower wall where other students can watch the performance "live" on the TV as a "studio audience." Everyone wants a turn.
This photo comes from the "pre-Covid" lesson. To make your setup Covid-safe, add masks and a divider between the two students.
Here's how to connect your cellphone or camera to your TV for this technique.
