Computer - 3D Model
I am currently working on a Solomon Lesson plan and have found a "3D Bible" resource online with the ability to explore Solomon's temple. I have found it to be quite accurate and intriguing. I am trying to integrate it into my Computer Lesson Plan.
Here's the link (you do have to download an Active X application to experience it)...
3D Bible Project
Go to their download page at http://www.3dbibleproject.com/en/download.htm and follow the instructions. Your computers will need a recent version of Internet Explorer, and also need the downloadable plug-in that makes the virtual tabernacle work.
Moderator updated link and tested above downloading notes:
- You do need to use Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer.
- You do need to download the VRML browser plugin from Cortona to view the models (download link is provided at top of the 3D Bible Project (look for this)
I did the download and found I could then move around and also hear music. - Also, download step #3 the English language pack.
Fall of Jericho Quiz Set
Attached from Luanne Payne, Hampton United Church, is her Fall of Jericho Software - Question Set. It Includes a single question set that covers both the the story of Solomon's Wisdom and the Temple. The questions were based on a video the kids had seen (Solomon's Temple) and playing a portion of the software "Pathways Through Jerusalem- King David's Tour". It may give you something to start with and you can edit it to your heart's content in the Jericho Editor. There are 16 questions on Solomon and 15 questions about the Temple.
