Why the Baby Moses forum is small at Rotation.org

Over the years, some good workshop lessons and ideas had been created on the story of Baby Moses, but not a lot. And many of the Baby Moses lessons/ideas ALSO covered "grown" Moses as far into the story as the Burning Bush. In some cases, those lessons which had more 'grown' content were moved out of the Baby Moses forum.

While Baby Moses stories are popular in TRADITIONAL Sunday School curriculum, the story of Moses in the Bullrushes is not as popular in Rotation churches.

Here's why:

The Rotation Model teaches FEWER stories over the course of the year than a traditional "new story each week" curriculum. Instead, the Rotation model opts to spend four or more weeks per story to create depth. This forces Rotation churches to make choices between Bible stories... to prioritize.

Thus, the Baby Moses story is usually dropped by Rotation churches (or briefly mentioned or shown in a video), in favor of the more "major" Exodus stories. This is part of Rotation's basic philosophy of "Less is More, and More is Less" when it comes to how many Bible stories we try to teach children.

So...we decided to keep the Baby Moses forum, even though it was and will probably remain SMALL.

POSTING GUIDELINES:

If you have lessons/ideas that cover just Baby Moses, post away!

If your lessons/ideas also include "grown" Moses stories, in additional to Baby Moses, post them in the forum which best represents the BALANCE of your story content. If your material is more "grown Moses" post it there.

Please TITLE your posts to help readers and moderators know what stories your material will cover.
