BANNERS - ART AND DRAMA IN ONE

Christian Publishers has some neat books - includes instructions, patterns and scripts for children on Easter & Christmas. They make it in art, then do skit(s) during church to explain their banners.

DESCRIPTION : Three banner liturgies for children to perform during Holy Week. This program allows church school children to participate in morning worship services on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter. On each of the key days of Holy Week, children present a symbolic banner and read a brief story about each event. Many young readers and non-readers may participate. DESCRIPTION : A children's program for Easter. Six colorful banners -- each featuring a key word of Easter -- provide a centerpiece for this easy-to-present program for children. A narrator reads Scripture references that relate to each word: Empty Tomb, Arisen Savior, Triumph, Eternal Life and Resurrection. Then children come forward and display the banners, explaining the significance of each word. At the conclusion of the program the children rearrange themselves, revealing that the first letter of each banner's word spells "Easter." Music may be inserted. Cast: 7 to 13 or more children. All ages. About 20 minutes. Includes 8 scripts.
