When the Time Had Fully Come

I found an old resource on our shelves looking for something else this week. The title of it is "When the Time Had Fully Come" and it was published in 1983. While this is not a rotation I will put the table for contents for the resource here and then add some other thoughts.
Table of Contents

History of the Intertestamental Period
The Apocrypha
The Pseudepigrapha
The Temple and the Synagogue
Pharisees and Sadducees
Essenes and Zealots
Samaritans and Diaspora Jews
The Kingdom and the Messiah
Life After Death
Angels, Demons, and Sin
When the Time Had Fully Come

In order to plan a rotation like this you would probably need a Bible with Apocrypha. One citation in this material is for a book called "The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament in English" R.H Charles, ed. (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1913) I have no idea whether or not you can get that on I also know there is a Josephus for children. Josephus is a Jewish historian and some of the history of intertestamental times is probably in there. Off the top of my head I wonder if one workshop might not be centered about Maccabees/Hanukkuah and for another you could set up some sort of debate with the four perspectives -- Pharisees, Zealots, etc. This will take work but you would really learn. Good luck.
