Anybody read it?  I only see a few reviews online, and they like it.  Lib is a Rotation fan, btw, and sister of a longtime member of our site. But I didn't know about this book. I'm looking for something parents can read together in study group.

Lib's book was one of my textbooks for educator certification.  It's been a long time since I've read it, but I recall it as being very good.  It could work as a study book for parents or committees like worship and or education.

Another book to consider is "99 Ways to Raise Spiritually Healthy Children" by Kathleen Long Bostrom.

Note: A description can be found on her website www.kathleenlongbostrom.com and as of 2019 the book was still available on Amazon.

I too have much benefited from Lib's book.

My all-time favorite for parents and children is Making Time for God: Daily Devotions Children and Families to Share by Susan Garrett and Amy Plantinga Pauw, both parents of elementary age children at the time of writing AND professors at Louisville Seminary. The book includes 1 page for 365 days:  scripture, discussion, prayer. Here's the info listed on Amazon.

  • Age Range: 9 and up
  • Paperback: 384 pages
  • Publisher: Baker Books (October 2002)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0801045053
  • ISBN-13: 9780801045059

From time to time my church has given these to 3rd graders, either with their new Bibles or as a follow-up to receiving their new Bibles and an encouragement to use them regularly.

One of the best I've ever read and studied with a group of parents was titled, "If I Were Starting My Family Again" by John Drescher.

It's written by an Episcopal priest about his own family. Still available on Amazon. Over 100,000 copies in print.
