More Than Just Funny Cat Videos
Google's YouTube is a treasure trove of teachable content and lesson plan help. Almost every new or old Christian film or animated series can now be found and/or previewed on YouTube before you purchase your copy. YouTube is also loaded with animated Bible shorts, Christian music lyric videos, Bible skits, art project "how-to" videos, object lessons (including science and magic tricks), and so much more.
You don't need internet access in your classroom to use YouTube content. Read: How to download YouTube videos for personal or teaching purposes. You can download them to a USB flashdrive or CD, then bring them into your classroom for playback on your DVD player, SmartTV or laptop.
Remember: Content found on YouTube doesn't mean you can teach with it for free. If the content uses a copyrighted product, then after previewing the video/audio, you need to buy the content from a reputable source in order to legally show it to your students. For example, if you want to show a video that has an artist's song on it, buy the song.
