We are doing a rotation on Good Samaritan in a few months and the idea came up to make friendship bracelets -- one to give to someone who is an "enemy" and one for yourself to remind you to love, not hate.

My concern is that this is a very "girlish" activity -- I'm guessing 5th grade boys aren't going to exchage or wear friendship bracelets. Any suggestions for something along the same lines but that boys will like as well as girls?

Thanks!
Lisa

we have used "bracelets" in workshops and find that the boys get really involved in the correct order of the beads and in making them. We also had one class make quilt patches and the boys were very, very particuar on how their piece would fit into the overall quilt design!
