Food & Cooking Lesson Needs & Ideas
Are you someone who likes to incorporate FOOD & Cooking in your creative Bible lessons?  If so....we could use a few "cooking" workshop ideas in the following areas:

What is the Cooking Workshop?
Excerpts from Rotation.org's Cooking Workshop Article
A Cooking Workshop lesson is one in which the main learning activity is food related in the same way that an art workshop uses art, or a video workshop uses video as its main teaching medium.
When we say "cooking" we mean creating something edible by baking, stewing, freezing, sizzling, gel-ing, cutting, mixing, layering, frying, drinking, assembling, toasting, arranging, and of course, EATING!
In the Rotation Model's Cooking Workshop, we don't just "make something to eat after the Bible study." Instead, we use any and all aspects of food and its preparation to illustrate and reinforce key concepts and story. This includes ingredients and their taste, preparation techniques, cooking styles, assembly steps, and the sharing of food to help tell the story, remember the story, and explain the story.
The use of Food to teach a lesson is particularly helpful in enhancing the brain's ability to store and remember content through the association of smell and taste. The assembly process enhances learning by being hands-on nature. And because food is such an integral part of daily life, teaching with food/cooking creates memory triggers. For example, making flat pita bread becomes a reminder (and refresher) about the Exodus story the next time the student sees or eats pita bread.
