November News You Can Use from Rotation.org

A bunch of Christian educators got together and made a list of "Favorite Free Advent Resources for At-Home Use." That list is available as a fun animated presentation and page of links that you can share. Many of the resources are short inspirational videos, several are easy-to-plan activities and celebrations. And several of them are short "lessons" families can easily do at home.

Advent Pony Express Resources

Are you worried that your resources are collecting dust on the shelves because you aren't meeting in person? Advent Pony Express is a great idea from our Advent 2020 forum for how to share LIMITED RESOURCES between church families during this pandemic-disrupted season.

The basic idea is this: You load a polyester shopping bag with books, DVDs, and other church Advent materials, and include a list of several families in the bag along with a set of instructions. The instructions give each family 5 days to enjoy the bag before dropping it off to the next family on the list. Include an instruction to have each family include a small seasonal gift for the next family, such as baked goods. Not only is this a good way to distribute learning and devotional materials, it provides a socially-safe way for families to stay in touch with each other.  See more Advent at-home ideas here!
