Song: Mary Did You Know?

In this first YouTube version of the popular song, Rap star CeeLo Green sings while scenes from the 2014 "Son of God" movie play.  Great visuals for the words of this new Christmas classic.

Next is another good version of this song set to scenes from The Life of Christ movie (freely available online). It features the voice of Neil Byrne (Celtic Thunder). Direct Link: https://youtu.be/8Q9tH53ALRI

Try to answer the questions the song asks of Mary and of us.

  • WHAT did Mary know about Jesus?  Was it important for her to understand everything about God's plan? (Do YOU have to know everything to believe?)
  • What questions for God do you think Mary asked as Jesus grew older? When he died?

Lyrics can be found online by googling "Mary Did You Know Lyrics."

The questions in the song could also easily be re-shaped to be questions for the kids. Example: HANNA IF YOU KNEW that....  what would you do/say/ask...
