Balaam's Donkey, Numbers 22

The story of Balaam and his donkey is not usually included in the Workshop Rotation Model's six year scope and sequence, thus, we've never really collected anything on it here at  However, it's a fun story with some redeeming content for children -- so feel free to post your resources and lesson ideas here!

Balaam the ridiculous prophet and the curse that did not happen

Balaam was a non-Israelite prophet sent to pronounce a curse upon the Israelites who had ominously camped on the plains of Moab. The story is a great example of some of the humor found in the Old Testament.  Funny illustrations seem particularly appropriate for this story and can be used not only with non-readers, but can be used as "charades" to perform or story-order scrambling.
