This forum is collecting lesson ideas that seem more suited for VBS, or where multiple Bible stories are covered over several days or several weeks using a fun "theme-y" VBS-kind of approach. If you have a specific Bible story in mind, look it up in our Bible Story Forums. Questions should be posted in the Teachers Lounge.

Any thoughts/suggestions on an Olympics (biblical based) rotation? Ages 4 thru 4th Grade, but a small group. Might use this during the winter school break for Church School, b/c we usually have low attendance during school breaks.
Some of the writings of Paul talk about "running the good race" and the crowd of witnesses. He also talks about training his body/training himself in the Word and also about persevering. And he mentions crowns--temporary and eternal. Lots of ideas, but I'm not sure if there is much on this site about those ideas. You could check in the Paul section.
I'm sure that there are lessons on this site which use an "Olympics" type of format. I would start by identifying your heroes first and then search for the material on each hero, by their Bible story (which is how most of this site is organized.) The more specific your hero is, the more likely you'll be able to find something. For example, Daniel is a hero because... will probably lead you to Daniel and the Lions den lessons vs. just looking for say, Paul. (Because you'll get bogged down in the amount of material that is here. )
