Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

Bible Study Ideas:

BEFORE class, make a set of large cards with titles, words and pictures of the events of Holy Week. Look for pictures of: The Last Supper, Gethsemane prayer, arrest, trial, crucifixion and resurrection.

BEGIN each class by showing the cards and reviewing the basic order of the story. Remind students that Jesus was obediently allowing himself to be arrested and crucified. He understood the outcome would be decided by God, it would bring forgiveness of sins, and become a truth all people could find hope in.

Here's a resource:  a French illustrator's amazing collection of 3-D Bible projects.

Here is the one for the Garden of Gethsemane (scroll down at his site to find this one):

3d Bible storymaking the pictures 3D

You make the picture 3-D by gluing on pieces of Styrofoam (or use cut up meat trays). This gives the picture depth.

Check out the numerous other stories at his site: My Little House
