In the Peter Sinks, Jesus Saves lesson set from the Writing Team...

We did the Water Workshop's  boat activity in a swimming pool. I made the paper boats and put sails on them for each child to use a straw to blow them across the water. they put 12 pennies in each of their boats and their name on the sail. Our Jesus  boat was made of freezer paper and I put the name of Jesus on it and 13 pennies in it (one for Jesus). After their boats sank and our Jesus boat stayed afloat  I explained about the protective coating on the boat and how Jesus protects us. It was an awesome activity  for all of us. THANK YOU.

Fabulous report, Audrey. I assume when you say you used a "swimming pool" that it was a plastic wading pool? Any chance you took a picture? So glad this lesson really worked for all of you. I'm going to copy your post over with the lesson itself so that future classes will have the benefit of your experience. Thanks for the great report!

Anne

I did use a plastic swimming pool and I will try and send a photo. ( I am an older adult) still learning this computer so patience truly is a virtue.

Blessings,
Audrey

You are doing an amazing job with such an unfamiliar medium. I also am an older adult and struggle daily with technology. Please don't spend a lot of time trying to do this -- just the plastic swimming pool information is great. A wonderful alternative to the ambitious water set-up in the original lesson.

Maybe you have a student who can help you.  I completely rely on my grown children for all  technical issues.

I will email some photos later today. We are celebrating Sunday School
Sunday on March 5th and our adult members will have the opportunity
to experience sailing their boats with the guidance of our children.

Blessings

Audrey

Hi Audrey,

I got the photos and I have posted them over with the lesson - posting it with you as the author. Thanks for sending them.

I love that you are including an intergenerational component to this story!
