We held a fundraiser the week of December 1st and raised over $2000!  Thank you so much.

We are always in need of special giving and count on it to make our budget every year, and especially this year.

What's our mission?

Begun as a lesson resource for Workshop Rotation Model churches in 1997, Rotation.org has grown to become an innovative resource for ALL types of creative Sunday Schools and teachers. We believe inspired teachers want imaginative choices, not just talking points and a craft. We also believe in resourcing emerging needs, not just talking about them. And we continue to collect the great ideas of our members and write new resources and lessons.

Who are we reaching?

As an independent and ecumenical resource without borders, we are helping teachers from around the world and across the theological spectrum. Over 5000 posts and topics are viewed at rotation.org every day.

Who supports us?

We have just over 8,000 registered (free) members, of whom about 8% are Supporting Members. About 60% of our budget this year comes from Supporting Memberships with the rest donated by individuals and churches. About 80% of our members and visitors come from the U.S. We have a strong and growing group of international visitors and users from every continent, especially in Canada, Great Britain, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

What does it cost to run our site?

Our annual budget is approximately $40,000 and is entirely funded by memberships and donations. Our two major expenses are site software & hosting and website management. Our state-of-the-art Crowdstack community software allows us to collect, create, and maintain a deep searchable database of Christian education resources, and continually improve and talk about it with our community.

Who's in charge?

We are led by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from our Supporting Members. Each board member is also actively involved in content creation and improvement.  Our 2020 Board is led by Amy Crane, President (Presbyterian), Cathy Walz, Treasurer (Lutheran), Robin Stewart, Secretary (Methodist), Carol Hulbert, Site Admin (Methodist), Luanne Payne, Editing and Resources (United Church), and Donna Grabert, Writing Team (Methodist). Our Webmaster and Lead Writer is Neil MacQueen (Presbyterian).

A few of our biggest achievements over the past 18 months:

  • Online and At-Home lesson forums
  • Alternative Advent 2020 celebrations and at-home Christmas resources
  • COVID resource forums
  • Free Teacher Training handouts and event resources
  • Over 40 new creative lesson plans from our Writing Team volunteers
  • Revised and Expanded lesson forums with hundreds of new ideas and updates
  • New animated presentations "about" the Rotation Model
