I stumbled across the "Sandy Tales" channel on YouTube and immediately had three thoughts:

(1) This is cool! 

(2) Kids could do this. It's a neat new way to draw. And we know that drawing a story helps them remember it. Kids could work together. A lightbox would be easy to make. Good technique for expressing emotions/actions/feelings in the stories.

(3) These videos could be used to introduce Bible stories in classrooms and worship.

Harm van Schaik, the Dutch sand artist, developed this technique for his own church.  The videos are available in several languages, including Spanish.
