Tips on Attaching, Uploading, and Positioning Images/Photos in Posts

We all love to see photos of classrooms and projects. How you attach and position them in your posts has changed a little in our new website.

Attaching an image and inserting it into your post is easy once you get the hang of it...

First: Simply click the ATTACHMENTS LINK at the bottom of your post window and select a photo or graphic from your computer. Then complete the upload.

Next: Click "insert into post" to insert the photo or graphic inside the text of your post.  (No, you don't have to 'insert into post.' You could just leave your photo attached to the post and make people click the attachment to find it, but inserting it into the post is the best way to show it off

Now all you have to do is drag it where you want it, and decide how to ALIGN it with your text.

Reminder:  To apply alignment formatting to your photo or graphic, you need to first SELECT the image in your post, then apply the formatting to it.

Tip:  Moving the image to a new location in your post is a bit tricky.

I've found that the BEST WAY is to highlight it with your, then "cut" it using CTRL-X.  This keeps the image on your magic pasteboard. Then position your cursor exactly where you want the image to appear in your text, and select CTRL-V to "paste" it into place. Then you can highlight it again to apply some alignment if needed.
