Building with Blocks

Using children's cardboard bricks or BOXES ....we discuss then label with many of the different obstacles we face or "people" and ideas we build God's Temple with.

As the children "rebuild", they must cover the "obstacle label" with a means of God's grace that helps them overcome...such as prayer, Christian friends, Holy Communion. And perhaps buried in the "ruble" could be an elaborate scroll with the Bible story written. The children could then take home a smaller scroll with the key verse...reminding them, that with God's grace we can each overcome the many obstacles we face...even as children.

This is also a great time to talk about the FIRM FOUNDATION we built on.

BUILT UPON THE ROCK!  (song in there somewhere...)
