Rock the Story

Here's a video of The Story of Ruth by Patti Rokus, creator of this "rocks tell the story" technique and accompanying book.  She has collected many interesting rock shapes, which you could do for your students, or you can purchase bags of "hobby" or "craft" rocks online in various shapes and sizes. Check Amazon or Hobby Lobby.

Students could divvy up the story and work on separate scenes, or they could use their rocks to create several key scenes in a row while being video recorded.

For more about how to make your own "time lapse" video like this with your students, go to our Storytelling-Time-Lapse" discussion page at https://www.rotation.org/topic...orytelling-technique
