Epiphany, Three Kings Day, and New Year's Lessons and Resources

Lesson ideas and resources for celebrating New Year's and "Three Kings Day" celebrations (Epiphany).

For many more lesson resources for teaching Matthew 2's Visit of the Magi, Wisemen, 3 Kings -- go to our public Magi forums or view the Writing Team's extra creative set of lessons about The Story of the Magi.

The official date of Epiphany is always the 12th day after Christmas (Jan 6). "Epiphany Sunday" is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday that falls between January 2 and 8 (i.e. closest to the official date). It coincides with the restarting of Sunday School after the Christmas break, and thus a "3 Kings" celebration and lessons can be a great way to transition into the early life and ministry of Jesus.
