The Ten Commandments software program features Sunday Software's most unique interface -- 3 "photobubbles" shot on location on Mt Sinai. A "photobubble" is a 360 degree photo that you turn and navigate with your mouse. In each photobubble there are several hidden hotspot that when clicked reveal all sorts of learning content and activities about the Ten Commandments. 
"Cool" is the perfect word to describe what this program looks and feels like. "Content-rich" is another!
The first photobubble shows the base of the mountain, the second halfway up, and the third shows you the view from the top of Mt Sinai. Following the traditional structure of a lesson plan, more introductory content is found in the first photobubble at the base of the mountain and more "reflection" content is found at the top.
Age Range: Grades 3 and up. Teens and Adults will enjoy it too. Younger children will like the visuals and experience of "hunting" for content, but some of the content is over their heads or must be read to them (and perhaps made simpler as you do!).
This software program works great on one or more PCs in the hands of the students (with a teacher going along), or in the hands of the teacher who might be showing it to a large group on a bigger screen. Home users will find plenty to discover and talk about. Indeed, much of the content is discussion-starting, and questions abound.
System: Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, and 11. Be sure to read the PDF in the zip about "adjusting the display size" to make the program fill more of your screen. BE SURE you have QuickTime 7.7.9 for Windows installed before installing this program. It’s a free download at https://support.apple.com/kb/DL837
Permissions: Sunday Software is making this program available to the Supporting Members of Rotation.org free of charge. The program may be installed on as many computers at your church as needed or shared with your church's members for their home use. The file may not be publicly posted or otherwise distributed beyond your congregation's use.
Students begin in Moses' "office" at Mt Sinai where he tells them the story of how he and the Israelites got to Mt. Sinai and what happened there, and why God gave us the Ten Commandments. Then it's on to the 3 photobubbles to learn more.

rollover the left corner of St Catherine's Monastery -- inviting you in for an introduction to the commandments.
Inside the Monastery located at the base of Mt Sinai students can click on the Ark of the Covenant to make the tablets rise so they can see and hear the Ten Commandments and a brief Bible study note about each. When students click on the stained glass, they will see several short videos of older children discussing what the commandments mean to them.
To begin your climb up the mountain, students must cross the "Chaos Canyon Bridge."

about the meaning and purpose of God's Law.
Halfway up the mountain, in addition to other hotspots to discover, students will find a Ten "Scramblements" game in which they must restore words to their correct location on the tablets before moving on.
Guarding the final climb to the top is a Climbing Game Quiz about the Ten Commandments and the story of the Ten Commandments.

The view from the top is spectacular. Embedded at the top are a hotspots that open reflection-oriented presentations and activities, such as a music video, a Ten Commandments "rewriting" exercise, and a guestbook where students can leave their answers to a short set of personal reflection questions for other climbers to read.
Students rephrase, re-imagine, re-state the Ten Commandments with their own words to make them speak directly to their lives, such as, The Ten Commandments for My Family, ...what do we need to "protect " and not steal from each other in our family? What rule about the Sabbath does my family need? What do I want my friends and parents to always be honest about me with? The boombox plays many of the songs and tracks heard during the climb up and the printer lets students print what they type for personal remembrance and group discussion. Click the mouse on the table to get started.
The "Guestbook" is one of several things to do at the top of Mt. Sinai. Later visitors to the top can see previous students' comments. The Guestbook questions can also serve as a "final thoughts" discussion.
Some of the program zips are stored on a Google Drive. When you click those you will be taken to the Google Drive account where you will then need to click the download icon (see menu bar on Google Drive) to initiate the download. Other program zips are stored here at Rotation.org and will download immediately when you click the download link on our page.
You may get a "security warning" about downloading or installing files that contain "exe" setup files from an "unknown" publisher. No worries, that's just Windows playing it safe. Continue with the installation.
